Many lawsuits were decided decades ago by our previous Supreme Court of The United States (SCOTUS) Justices which gave us a sense of security regarding which laws were settled.
Our current SCOTUS has hand picked specific cases to hear and review (they get to chose which cases they want to rule on). They choose cases to rule on that would help implement the Project 2025 agenda that's designed as a leadership plan for the next republican president. Donald Trump implemented some of their plan when he was previously in office but he couldn't do all the things he/they wanted to do because of our current checks and balances between the three branches of government. Short version: billionaires have showered two justices (that we know of) with lavish gifts/vacations and in return they are ruling the way the billionaires want them to. Two justices appear to be sympathetic with January 6 insurrectionists but they didn't recuse themselves from a case involving the defendants.
